1. Service Provision

PDFTools.uk provides digital tools for document manipulation. We provide two tiers of service:

  • Free Tools: Provided without registration. No data is stored post-session.
  • Subscription Services: Paid accounts providing enhanced features and temporary cloud storage for document retrieval.

2. Intellectual Property & Ownership

The software, design, and branding of PDFTools.uk are the property of the site owners. Regarding your files:

  • You retain 100% ownership of any documents you upload.
  • We claim no rights over your content.
  • For subscribers, we act only as a data processor for the purpose of document retrieval.

3. Consumer Rights & Cancellations (UK Law)

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013:

  • Right to Cancel: Subscribers generally have a 14-day right to cancel their subscription.
  • Digital Content Exception: If you access or download digital content (process a file) within the 14-day period, you acknowledge that you may lose your right to a full refund for that period.
  • Cancellations: You may cancel your renewal at any time via your account dashboard.

4. Fair Usage Policy

To ensure stability for all users, you agree not to:

  • Use automated scripts or bots to access the tools.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer the PDF processing engine.
  • Upload documents containing malware or illegal material.

5. Limitation of Liability

While we strive for 100% accuracy, PDFTools.uk provides tools on an "as-is" basis. To the extent permitted by law (Consumer Rights Act 2015), we are not liable for:

  • Loss of data (we are not a permanent backup service).
  • Errors in document conversion or formatting.
  • Any indirect losses arising from the use of our tools.

6. Data Protection

Our use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is compliant with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

7. Jurisdiction

These terms shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
